Terms & Conditions

 

 

1. ARRIVAL

 

1.1

Please ensure your cat is transported in a safe and secure carrier, in good condition, designed for transportation of cats.

 

1.2

We will care for your cat according to the highest levels of care as established by the Feline Advisory Bureau and you accept that your cat is boarded with us at your own risk.

 

1.3

We will need to see proof of current vaccinations for feline flu and enteritis, which must be provided at check-in.

 

1.4

We reserve the right to not accommodate any cat showing signs of ill health pending advice from a Veterinary Surgeon. We trust you will appreciate that this is essential in order to safeguard the health of all cats staying with us.
 

2. DEPARTURE

 

2.1

If you will not be collecting your cat yourself, please ensure that the person you send will be able to handle your cat safely.

 

2.2

For the welfare of our guests we reserve the right to re-home any cat not collected within fifteen days of their scheduled departure date if, after making reasonable efforts, we have not been able to agree suitable arrangements with the owner and/or emergency contact.
 

3. FEES

3.1

In common with most boarding catteries our fees are charged per day, including the day of arrival and day of departure. For example a two night stay is charged as three days.

3.2

We require payment of a £25 non-refundable reservation fee to secure your booking.

3.3

We accept payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer. We are not able to accept card payments.

3.4

Full payment of fees, including any extras such as flea treatments, must be completed before departure.

3.5

We do not offer discounts for early departure and/or late arrival.

3.6

No discount is applied if you supply your own food.

3.7

For bookings originally made more than six months before the arrival date the applicable fees will be increased in-line with any increases in our standard fees. For example if you make a booking in January for August and our standard fees are increased in May then the new fees will be applied to your booking.

3.8

3.9

Food

If your cat(s) requires more that two standard (e.g. 1 pouch) meals per day plus dry food then our prevailing feeding supplement will be applied to your booking.

3.10

Cleaning

If extra cleaning is required then our prevailing daily cleaning supplement will be applied to your booking.

3.11

Medication

Except for administration of medication directly into food our prevailing medication fee will be charged for each dose of each individual medicine. This fee will be increased by 50% for administering medication before 9am or after 6pm

3.12

Transportation

If it is necessary to transport your cat whilst staying with us then we will charge our prevailing rate per mile.

3.13

Attending appointments

If you require us to attend any appointments with your cat then this will be charged at our prevailing hourly rate (rounded up to the next whole hour) This would be in addition to any transportation fees that may apply.

4. AMENDMENTS, CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS

4.1

Changes notified to us more than 14 days before the arrival date will not incur any penalty.

4.2

If the duration of the booking is reduced less than 14 days before arrival then the fees associated with the booking will not be reduced. There will be no reduction in fees for later arrival and/or earlier departure.

 

4.3

If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then the full fees will remain due and must be paid.

 

4.4

There will be no reduction in fees if you bring your cat to us later than the booking arrival date.

 

4.5

There will be no reduction in fees if you collect your cat from us earlier than the booking departure date.

 

4.6

If you do not turn up for your booking for any reason, a no-show, then full fees will remain due and must be paid.
 

5. HEALTH & MEDICATION

 

5.1

We are happy to accommodate cats on medication. We can administer pills either orally or in food and we are experienced in caring for diabetic cats including those requiring insulin injections. Please do contact us to discuss your specific needs and we will do our utmost to meet your requirements.

 

5.2

Vaccinations and annual vaccination boosters must be completed at least seven days before arrival.

 

5.3

If your cat has not had any flea treatment in the three months prior to staying with us please ensure they are treated with a vet recommended product at least 24 hours before arrival.

 

5.4

If your cat has not had any worming treatment in the three months prior to staying with us please ensure they are treated with a vet recommended product at least 24 hours before arrival.

 

5.5

If your cat shows signs of flea or worm infestation it will be treated with an appropriate product and the cost of the treatment, which will not be less than £15, will be added to your invoice.

 

5.6

Male cats over the age of six months that have not been neutered will not be accommodated.

 

5.7

For the welfare of other cats staying with us no cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or contagious disease will be accommodated.

 

5.8

We will ask for your written authority to call a veterinary surgeon on your behalf should we consider it necessary. During your cat's stay you will benefit from our insurance cover of £1000 - this cover excludes all pre-existing conditions.

 

5.9

We do not charge for administering straightforward medication during our normal operating hours. We do charge for administering medication outside our normal operating hours, for transporting cats to and from the Veterinary Surgeon and for attending the Veterinary Surgeon with your cat.

 

5.10

Only cats from the same home may share accommodation.
 

6. ELDERLY/DISABLED CATS

 

6.1

We have experience in caring for both elderly and disabled cats. If your cat has any special requirements due to age or disability please bring this to our attention at the time of booking so that we can discuss how to best meet your cat's specific needs.
